Fashion Interns Wanted!

Lacson Ravello is seeking fashion design, product development, merchandising, and marketing interns. This unique opportunity is the perfect introduction to the fashion industry—working closely with the designer/owner in a small business, hands-on environment. Our ideal candidates must be passionate, detail-oriented, and able to multi-task.

Our mentor program is a 1 to 3-month commitment working 1 to 2 days a week. Candidate must be able to commute to and work in our Oakland, California studio. To apply, please complete and submit the form below. This is an unpaid internship and we are happy to offer the following as compensation:

  • A monthly clothing stipend of Lacson Ravello merchandise—valued at $200 to $600 retail, based on amount of work time
  • ”Creative Compensation”—use of our studio space, free leftover fabric yardage with prior approval
  • Academic credit with appropriate documentation

Responsibilities

Intern tasks can vary day to day, but a typical work day may include but is not limited to:

  • Design: Trend research; Assist with creating mood boards, sketches, specs, and tech packs
  • Fabric: Organize fabric library
  • Production: Assist with creating cut tickets; Organize trims and labels for sewing factory
  • Quality Assurance: Assist with checking quality of production orders
  • Photoshoots: Assist on set; Prepare and organize samples
  • Merchandising: Label and tag samples; Assist with creating linesheets
  • Digital Marketing: Assist with creating emails and social media content; Engage with followers
  • Retail Sales: Help with pop-up events and trunk shows

Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled, pursuing, or recently completed Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in a Fashion Design, Product Development, Merchandising, or Marketing program at an accredited college or university (or equivalent experience and education)
  • Basic patternmaking and garment construction knowledge is a plus
  • Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite and Google Workspace is a plus
  • Owns a laptop
  • Strong communication skills
  • Demonstrated interest in the fashion industry
  • Portfolio or link to image files is a plus
